These are the easiest Air Fryer recipes...perfect for those who are new to the air fryer! I show you how to make bacon, chicken wings, Brussels sprouts, and chicken breast. Let's answer the question "What can you cook in an air fryer?"

4 Easy Air Fryer Recipes for Beginners • Low Carb with Jennifer (1)

It's the holiday season and I know lots of home cooks are going to be getting Air Fryers...either through those amazing holiday deals, or as gifts. These Air Fryer Recipes are going to show you how easy this little appliance is to use. Air Fryer meals will become staples in your house in no time!

I've got 4 recipes that I'm sharing: Bacon, chicken wings, Brussels sprouts, and herbed chicken breast.

EASY AIR FRYER RECIPES

First up on our list is air fryer bacon. This is really one of the easiest recipes because all you need to do is put the bacon in the air fryer in a single layer. I like to use wright brand thick cut bacon and I cut it in half so it will fit in the air fryer. The air fryer I use is 5.7 quarts so that will hold about 5 pieces of bacon cut in half. If your air fryer is smaller, it would not hold as much.

Use this bacon to pair with other air fryer meals like Air Fryer Mushrooms!

I set the temperature of the air fryer to 350F and I set the time to 9 minutes. If you use thinner bacon, check it after 5 minutes and then every minute after that because it will cook fast!

A quick tip on cooking bacon in the air fryer. If you want to cook more than one batch, make sure you drain the grease after each cook time. It will start to smoke if you don't.

Next on my list of easy air fryer recipes is chicken wings. I will never cook chicken wings any other way again! They come out perfectly and so crispy! Plus, no dirty oven pan!

I always spray my air fryer with cooking spray when I make chicken wings because they are prone to sticking. I lay them in a single layer (I can usually fit around 10-12 chicken wings) and I pat them dry with paper towels. Then I season with salt and pepper.

Now we just cook them at 380F for 25 minutes. I like to open the air fryer basket every 5 minutes or so and shake them so they cook evenly (I demonstrate this technique in the video below).

After the 25 minutes are up, I increase the temperature to 400F and cook for 3-5 minutes more.

Another easy air fryer meal!

Now lets talk about another easy air fryer recipe...Brussels sprouts! These things get so crispy and delicious in the air fryer! In my blog post for Air Fryer Brussels Sprouts, I give instructions for fresh sprouts, but in this post and in the video below, I use frozen sprouts. You should be shocked!

The frozen Brussels sprouts were so much easier! All I did was dump a bag of whole frozen sprouts into the air fryer and cooked them at 400F for 10 minutes.

    Jennifer,
My air fryer is a stove type with pull out racks not the "drop into" type. Do these recipes cause a collection of grease? I'm thinking of the bacon mostly.

    • jenniferbanz says

Yes, I would have something in the bottom to collect the grease

Hello, Thank you so much for your videos and your recipes . I always wanted to make my wife cooking Easter for her and now with this video i see that I can.
The link to the air Fryer that you have here leading me to Amazon with a Air fryer that is smaller then yours and it cost $129’more then ( $100 ) that you said in your video.
So please write me back the name and type of your Air fryer and where I can get it for less the $100 ?
Thank you and have a great year .

I have the newwave Brio 14 quart. I've only made one thing so far and that was a 1 lb steak on the grill air fry portion of the fryer. The thing I like the the best about it is the internal probe so you know exactly when to take it out. I came delicious. So I will try wings next. Thank you

Do you have to cook each dish separately? Like if you are having chicken breasts, french fries, brussel sprouts......each one has to be cooked separately? No way to cook all at the or more than one type of food at the same time?

    Reply

    • jenniferbanz says

I always cook them separately but my air fryer did come with a separator so I guess you could cook 2 things at once as long as they cook at the same temperature.
